We've been hard at work introducing and improving features designed to make discovery, sharing, and interaction on Ople even more intuitive and powerful.
Next time you open the Ople app, keep an eye out for these updates and let us know what you think (even, or especially, if these improvements aren’t functioning optimally for you).
🚀 Discover What Matters Most
We've significantly refined your Discover feed to ensure you see the videos most relevant to your work. Your feed now prioritizes:
Most Recent Videos First: Stay up-to-date with fresh content as it's published.
Already Viewed Videos: Videos you've seen are still available, they’re just down the feed so you can enjoy new content first.
✉️ Tagging Within Text Comments
You can now ‘@’ other Ople users within your text comments (Speaking of: what do you think of our ‘comment frames’? We’d love to know! We want to make Ople a place for constructive discourse, and hope the four comment frames we’ve offered will support that goal).
🔗 Share Profiles with Ease!
Want to show off a colleague's profile or highlight a valuable resource? Now you can! We've introduced the ability to share other users' profiles via direct links (which can be copied from the top of all users’ profile page), making it simpler than ever to connect your network with inspiring educators on Ople.
🔔 In-app and Push Notifications
We’re keen to make sure Ople doesn’t become a bother or distraction, but we also want you to know when key events - such as new posts by users you follow, or new app version releases - take place. Thus, we’ve introduced a handful of new in-app notification types, while simultaneously reducing the number of push notifications you’ll receive.

🚀 A More Relevant Feed
In addition to putting more recent content up top and content you’ve already seen a bit further downstream, your feed will start prioritizing content matching your state, grade, and subject more prominently.
✂️ Modify Your Video Uploads
Mistake in your video? No problem! We're adding the much-requested ability to trim and revise your video uploads (with more editing features to come over the coming year).
🌐 Hyperlinks in Descriptions and Comments!
Bring richer context and external resources directly into your Ople interactions. You will soon be able to share clickable hyperlinks within your video descriptions and comments, making it easier to reference articles, documents, and other valuable off-Ople resources.
